Our vaguely planned trip will take us from our home in Cape Town, up into the Northern Cape, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, and coastal South Africa. We’ll be covering roughly 19,000 kms over Sub-Saharan Africa – just a little more than the distance from Cape Town to Vancouver. God knows if we’ll make it. We have 3 boys, aged 9, 7 and 4 who may revolt at any stage in the proceedings. Our vehicle might pack up. We might run out of cash. We might get sick. We might get sick of it. We might just get bored as hell of living like gypsies after a few weeks… who knows!
