Well, everything didn’t go quite according to plan today. The banks were oddly reluctant to part with our money. The police made a meal out of fingerprints. The medications were only to be found thinly across five pharmacies. The police clearances were really hard work. But as tomorrow’s a public holiday – the very aptly named “Reconciliation Day” (yes, we will) – we can’t get anything done here except pack, so we may as well get that done quickly and be on our way.
We’re going to drive all the way to Ai-Ais in Namibia – and if God, Yahweh, Buddah, Zeus and Mohammed look down favourably upon us, we’ll make it there before the park/camp closes up for the evening.
I’ve shaved my head.
The kids are still fighting over what goes into the toy box.
We’re still not packed up.
There’s crap everywhere.
I’m writing a blog entry.
You’re probably wondering why.

[…] living with children, I still have some consideration shortcomings to overcome – and their blog entry probably should have set off a couple of alarm […]
Chris and Fiona – Good luck with the adventure. I’m jealous and will be thinking of you lots. SA banks are rubbish, didn’t you learn that in all your time out there, let alone when we visited! Love Penny
